From high-impact hand-delivered invites to key media and VIPs and a SCREAM of a stunt in London’s Leicester Square, to the gore-some gold-tier grabbing FRIGHT NIGHTS VIP launch last week, it’s safe to say the (chainsaw) buzz around this year’s FRIGHT NIGHTS is back with a vengeance!
Kicking off the terror-ific trio with invites like no other, the Popstars headed into London accompanied by some seriously scary THORPE PARK friends, to hand-deliver gore-geous edible invites to key recipients for the FRIGHT NIGHTS VIP launch. Maximising the fear factor and injecting ‘Instagrambility’ into the invite, the likes of Love Island’s Laura Anderson, GBBO’s Liam Charles and Kiss FM’s Daisy Maskell were all lucky enough to receive human-heart-shaped invites and a visit from Creek Freak’s not-so-cuddly characters. Generating social buzz with a potential reach exceeding 1.6million, the first step in our scare-tastic activity was blood-pumpingly brilliant.
Not long after, it was time for scares in the city, as the Popstars hit up Leicester Square to announce FRIGHT NIGHTS return with a SCREAM! Bringing the nation’s nightmares to life, the team unveiled Brits’ biggest fears with a wow-factor live-action stunt, as our FRIGHT NIGHTS actor appeared in a terror-themed Jack-in-the-box at the centre of one of London’s busiest locations.
Ensuring unwitting members of the public were scared senseless, the spine-chilling stunt embodied the results of our recent research into what was most likely to make us jump out of our skin in fright. The activation saw city slickers screaming and commuters cowering in fear, proving the scare-sational sensory overload that is FRIGHT NIGHTS is not for the fair hearted. With a photographer and videographer on the scene to capture all the real-time reactions, the second step of our fantastically fearful activity for FRIGHT NIGHTS was the perfect warm up for the gore-some grand finale.
Keeping THORPE PARK Resort front of mind for both consumers and media, our exclusive VIP launch event saw key media, influencers and topical celebrities attend the ultimate FRIGHT NIGHTS preview – including some familiar faces from our horrific heart-shaped invite drops!
Hammering home that FRIGHT NIGHTS is the must-visit destination for horror lovers and adrenaline junkies alike, the event saw a terrifying extravaganza of themed actors and FRIGHT NIGHTS attractions, combined with exclusive touches like Halloween-themed cocktails, food and a blood-red carpet for VIP photo opportunities.
With 487 attendees through the Popstar-manned door, including the likes of Katie Price, Gizzi Erskine and whole host of Love Island favourites, the team were on hand to sell in images of our gold-tier attendees on the night, generating further big buzz awareness and talkability around FRIGHT NIGHTS in real time.
With a screaming 695 pieces of social coverage, 29 pieces of editorial coverage on the likes of Mail Online, OK! Online, Daily Star Online and Metro Online and a gore-some total event coverage reach of over 135 million, it’s safe to say FRIGHT NIGHTS is back with a BOO!
