At Popcorn we truly believe that we come together with our clients to create one extended team; whether it’s hot-desking, meetings or collaborative workshops, it’s always a pleasure to welcome them to our offices and so was the case this week when 10 of our clients from Bel UK settled in to Popcorn HQ for their monthly marketing team days.
Ensuring an all-important caffeine fix and brain-fuelling breakfast, we kick started the day with a hearty social banquet taking time to catch up on key activity and team news. Settling in for internal team meetings and presentations from mid-morning, we were sure to introduce the team to our fully stocked new Pics’N’Mix sweet station – a permanent new addition to the office to celebrate our exciting new business venture – offering further edible treats to power the day ahead.
Regular business finished, Popcorn Founder Louise and Managing Director Sara headed up a dedicated PR Inspiration Workshop for Bel, allowing them to step away from their day jobs for a few hours and immerse themselves into the wonderful world of PR.
Enabling the team to flex their creative muscles and have some spirited team fun along the way, the session saw Louise and Sara challenge Bel UK to respond to a PR Pitch Brief (developed by Popcorn) which required careful extraction of the right and relevant information to shape a strategic framework, demonstration of insight driven and audience relevant narratives, display of creative development and wowing with excellent execution and collaborative team work…(easy!)
The session also saw some fundamental response specifics thrown into the mix, including the task of summarising the brand in 3 emojis – which saw some very creative artwork produced – and the industry classic, ‘idea to get you fired’!
Divided into two teams to heighten the competitive spirit, it was soon time to head back into the boardroom ready and raring to face the ‘Popcorn Dragons’ and perfect their pitches. With some seriously impressive responses produced, the activity provided not only a fun and creative task for the teams, but also sparked conversation, discussion and wider thinking around the challenges agencies can face with briefs, and key points to consider when writing them.
Rounding off the day with a well-deserved drink, debrief and social power hour around the Popcorn office bar, we’re always proud to show off Popcorn HQ and bring to life our style, culture and creativity for clients, right where all the popping magic happens!
