Popcorn took to London for a three day extravaganza, celebrating the new look and taste of Greene King’s metropolitan-inspired ale London Glory. Launching the #Whatsthestory campaign, the team invited London’s diverse inhabitants into a specially-created black cab to help capture and celebrate all of the things that make the Great British capital so special.
Londoners were given a chance to tell stories about their home city over a free pint of the British ale, London Glory, and enjoy 15 minutes of fame when their tale was broadcast to the Greene King Brewery’s social audiences. Popcorn’s very own writer in-residence, Paul Sutton, took to the driving seat of the London Glory taxi, teasing out the best anecdotes from its city-dwelling passengers.
London’s media also got behind us with the What’s The Story campaign featuring in the likes of Shortlist Magazine and across London centric cultural listings sites ensuring the cheer really was spread to one and all and reaching over 7,757,414 Londoners.
The activity has already reached 330,000 people socially and over 5,000 consumers were able to enjoy the taste of London Glory. The campaign will continue to run throughout the Spring & Summer, so watch this space for more stories from London Glory.
We’ll cheers to that!
