Popcorn PR was delighted to host a plethora of influential media and bloggers at last night’s first ever multisensory screening of ‘The Notebook’ on behalf of The Perfume Shop and Alzheimer’s Research UK.
With over 50 VIP’s in attendance at the private screening in London’s Leicester Square, including ARUK celebrity Ambassador JJ from Union J, the event was granted special permission by the book’s author Nicholas Sparks and is the latest initiative from the Memories Matter partnership between the UK & Irelands largest specialist perfume retailer and the UK’s leading Dementia research charity exploring the intrinsic link between smell and memory.
Guests were immersed into the ultimate sense stimulating viewing experience which included specially formulated scents emitted throughout key scenes and beautifully crafted Memory Boxes providing them with props to taste and feel in line with the characters on screen at specific moments of the film.
There wasn’t a dry eye in the room by the final scene but with over 850,000 people in the UK living with dementia, the Memories Matter campaign is helping to raise awareness of this heart breaking condition and has to date raised over £75,000 towards raising vital funds to help fight it.
