Saturdays are conventionally busy, stressful occasions in shopping centres, but not when Popcorn PR is concerned! We recently took to Manchester’s bustling Trafford Centre with client LighterLife Fast, and hosted a day of #FastYoga sessions led by Hollyoaks stars Jennifer Metcalfe and Gemma Merna.
Hosted outside Superdrug, where a dedicated product promotion was on offer, we created an area of complete serenity amongst the Saturday shoppers, complete with yoga mats, flowers, and – of course – LighterLife Fast products! Competition winners, key press and bloggers, and the public were invited to take part in a 30 minute yoga session, followed by selfie time with the stars and a fab goody bag full of LighterLife Fast + Superdrug products.
The MailOnline and Mirror Online covered the event on the day, featuring photos of Jen and Gemma doing their best ‘Namaste’ poses. For consumers unable to make it down, the event was also live streamed across the brands Facebook channel, which has been viewed over 800 times to date and Twitter impressions increased by 200% on the day.
Creating brand theatre and direct engagement with the public, shoppers were deterred from their Saturday plans to watch the sessions and learn more about the LighterLife Fast brand.
