Last week the Popstars ventured to Milan’s annual Salone del Mobile design exhibition to unveil Panasonic’s cutting-edge installation to an intimate party of journalists from the likes of Metro, House & Garden and Real Homes to explore the future gazing concept of “Electronic Meets Crafts”.
Presented at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, Panasonic’s multi-sensory space brought the “Future Craft” philosophy to life through an array of audio, imaging and lighting technology. Fused with traditional Japanese craftsmanship, the installation showcased Panasonic’s detailed and refined visionary concepts designed to provide a better future for the next century.
Kick-starting the trip with a press conference, journalists delved into Panasonic’s work with GO ON, a collaboration of Kyoto craftspeople who apply time-honoured techniques to Japanese crafts for inspiring contemporary designs with international appeal.
Following exclusive media 1-to-1s with Panasonic’s key design spokespeople, press stepped into Panasonic’s fully immersive outdoor exhibition featuring projectors, speakers and lighting innovations highlighting Panasonic’s technologies from vibrating speakers to LED lamps made from textiles which interacted with an innovative induction heating table to inspire future design-led features.
The Popstars are continuing to work with media to shed the light on Panasonic’s mission to make people’s lives better through the fusion of Italian and Japanese sensibilities and technologies, merging traditions and cultures that the two countries have nurtured through their long history.
Until next time Milan…
