Last week Popcorn and Panasonic inspired Londoners to dust off their peaky caps and hoist up their braces by order of the ‘Peaky Barbers’…
Inspired by the highly anticipated launch of popular and stylish TV drama, Peaky Blinders, the immersive pop-up transported consumers and media back to the tweed-filled 1920s through an exclusive Peaky Barbers experience, created to launch the brand new Panasonic ER-SC40 clipper and ER-SB40 trimmer.
Over 110 distinguished gentlemen (and women) came through the doors hosted at The Scotch Malt Whisky Society’s new city bar, Kaleidoscope. Hosted across two evenings, Panasonic Peaky Barbers (from Thy Barber, Shoreditch) offered complimentary trims using the latest Panasonic Grooming tools as the 1920s were brought to life through a bespoke Peaky Barbers cocktail list, live 1920’s bands, a hunting simulator to put grouse, deer and pheasant shooting skills to the test and even free whisky drams for the first forty guests sporting a peaky cap upon arrival.
With some of the UK’s finest media and influencers in attendance including The Independent, Esquire, OK!, Digital Spy, Maketh the Man and The Discerning Man with guests quoting it as ‘one of the best brand events they’d ever been to’ and with coverage has already landed and secured across the likes of Digital Spy and Shortlist magazine it’s fair to say the event was quite literally a blinder.
